Our Love Story

In the serene plateau of Cookeville, Tennessee, where enchanting sunsets kiss the rolling hills and waters cascade gracefully, Courtney and Cody’s love story unfolded at Tennessee Tech University. In the summer of 2016, Cody, the university’s photographer, and Courtney, the new coordinator of new student programs, would often cross paths at work: their offices down the hall from each other and Cody often photographing events that Courtney’s office was hosting. This led to the two engaging in friendly conversation that would soon lead to strands of text messages and little adventures: picture a splendid tour of Cookeville and spirited hikes to local waterfalls.Courtney and Cody’s love story was a slow build, beginning as a friendship and growing into more over a year and a half. In the fall of 2017, their relationship officially began over the enticing aroma of homemade quesadillas and the sweet zest of margaritas. Since then, their love story has been a tapestry of travelling and experiencing new places, cherishing moments with their cats, Sookie and Samuel, and enjoying the gentleness and sweet moments of the life they were crafting together. Through it all, they have found love in each other and the comfort of being each other’s best friend.On July 15, 2022, Cody finally decided to get down on one knee under the soft hues of a summer sunset in Franklin, Tennessee. Now, after 6 years together, we can’t wait to start this new chapter of our lives hand-in-hand and celebrate our happily ever after with our favorite people.
